Objectives of Education

Conservation Science is a field that serves as a comprehensive hospital for cultural heritage, applying advanced scientific technologies to diagnose and restore damaged artifacts.

This discipline involves the scientific investigation, analysis, and conservation of cultural heritage composed of various materials to extend its lifespan. It also utilizes state-of-the-art analytical instruments to uncover traditional materials and production techniques embedded within cultural heritage. Additionally, Conservation Science explores the material aspects of archaeological artifacts, conducts precise scientific analyses, and interprets the findings. Our goal is to train specialists who act as physicians for the long-term preservation of cultural heritage.

Educational Goals

The Department of Conservation Science aims to cultivate experts in cultural heritage preservation who possess both practical conservation skills and scientific research capabilities, grounded in a deep understanding of materials and scientific principles.
